Solar Project Manager
Location: Juno Beach, Florida (Onsite)
Role Overview
This position supports the overall management of assigned solar projects, ensuring compliance with budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals. The role involves managing multiple projects through the early-stage process in preparation for turnover to the construction team. This position will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders and requires independent management to deliver technically feasible and financially viable projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively manage multiple assigned solar projects through the early-stage process.
- Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance on assigned projects.
- Coordinate project activities with vendors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and local community officials.
- Assist in scope control, budget oversight, and the resolution of technical issues.
- Build and maintain project schedules using tools such as Smartsheet.
- Analyze technical and financial data to identify variables, indicators, and trends.
- Interface with landowners, local regulators, state agencies, and executive leadership.
- Reinforce expectations related to safety, procedure compliance, and corrective action for all staff.
- Participate in walk-downs of planned work and validate the acceptance of completed work against design requirements.
- Support development and permitting, coordinate with subject matter experts, and facilitate engineering.
Required Qualifications
Education: An Associate's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Land Surveying, or a related field is required.
Experience: 0 to 5 years of experience in managing project execution, including vendor and contractor coordination. Experience in the construction or renewables industry is needed.
Technical Skills: Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet. Familiarity with Word is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
Work Environment
This is an office-based role that can incorporate travel to project sites as required, up to 25%. Driving will be a required part of position duties. A valid, non-restricted driver's license must be maintained.
